Hurricane Isaias: Early Prescription Refills Permitted Under State of Emergency

On October 6, 2026, Executive Order 26-202 was issued by Governor Ron DeSantis, authorizing pharmacists to dispense up to a 30-day emergency prescription refill of maintenance medication to those living in areas covered under the Executive Order. Additionally, on October 7, 2026, Emergency Order 26-001 was issued by State Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo, MD, PhD. Summary:

The bill authorizes occupational therapists to perform dry needling, and establishes the minimum experience, education, and training requirements. The Department of Health must submit a one-time report to the legislature on or before December 31, 2028, to include the number of occupational therapists in the state performing dry needling and adverse incidents involving dry needling.
