Florida Board of Occupational Therapy Member Recruitment
The Governor’s Appointments Office is currently accepting Board member appointment applications for the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy. The Board was established to assure the highest degree of professional conduct on the part of occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants. The Board is responsible for the licensure and regulation of the profession to ensure the availability of occupational therapy services of high quality to the people of Florida.
The Florida Board of Occupational Therapy Practice consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. The membership is composed of four licensed occupational therapists, one licensed occupational therapy assistant and two consumer members not affiliated with the practice of the profession. The occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistant are required to be licensed in good standing in Florida and engaged in the practice of the profession for at least 4 years immediately prior to appointment. All board members must be Florida residents. The Board is currently seeking to fill vacancies for one occupational therapist, one occupational therapy assistant and one consumer member. Applications for all appointments are being accepted for consideration.
